BIOGRAPHY

Claire Louise Milne is a freelance graphic designer and illustrator specializing in book publishing. After working for several years in the book and magazine publishing industry as a graphic designer she transitioned to freelancing full-time. She has worked from her home in Toronto for the past six years.

Claire has designed and illustrated children's books and other educational materials for numerous publishers worldwide. Her illustrations are done in both traditional watercolour and digital media. Her digital illustrations involve creating line art in Illustrator before adding colour and texture in Photoshop.

Her creative inspiration comes from contemporary artists and illustrators such as Ryoji Arai, Marc Boutavant and Tiphanie Beeke along with 20th century greats such as Beatrix Potter, Edward Ardizzone, Adrienne Adams and Richard Scarry.
